Conflicts of interest
Conflicts on the side of the people we rate are part of what we measure. Conflicts on our own side are, so far, none.
Ours
TradeGrade holds no position in any asset, token, fund or platform mentioned on the site, takes no payment from any rated subject, and has no commercial arrangement with any of them.
Nobody working on the ratings trades on the calls we archive.
Theirs, and how it is counted
Commercial interest is detected from links, not from words, because ordinary market talk is full of phrases like “of course” and “premium” that keyword matching turns into false findings.
- Links to paid groups and communities.
- Links to courses and paid products.
- Referral and affiliate parameters on non-social links.
- Declared stakes in a token or project, taken from the subject's own words.
- One ticker dominating someone's posts with no declared link, which is a fact about behaviour rather than about ownership.
What it does to a grade
Selling something is not a finding against anyone by itself. What the independence factor measures is disclosure: whether a promotional post is marked as one. An undisclosed affiliate post counts against a subject; a disclosed one does not.
Because detection runs on the posts we have archived, an absence of findings is not proof of independence, and no profile claims otherwise.
